Jim Elliott - Director

Jim was born and educated in Guernsey, as well as in Switzerland and the UK, before graduating from Exeter University in 2000. Since leaving university, Jim has worked for Kleinwort Benson (at the time a member of the Dresdner Private Banking Group) and The Royal Bank of Canada, before joining Richmond in 2008.  Jim graduated as a full member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 2006, and completed his Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ (STEP) qualification in 2009 and holds a Diploma in International Trust Management.

Jim is currently studying for a BSc (Hons) degree in Management with Trust and Estates.

Jim has extensive experience in dealing with high net worth clients around the world but specifically in Southern Africa.  He is currently involved in the day to day running of a variety of trading entities which trade worldwide from Southern Africa, and enjoys a strong relationship with a number of major mining operations and commodity traders in the region.

Locally Jim has strong links with a number of multi-national Investment Managers, Banks and Lawyers.

Jim was appointed to the Richmond Board on 4th January 2010.
