Paul Gaudion - Director

Born and educated in Guernsey, Paul commenced his career with Barclays Bank in 1983, working in banking before progressing to work in their trust company managing trust funds mainly for high net worth UK expatriates. In the 1990's he worked as the Manager of the Guernsey based trust company of Generale de Banque which later became part of the Fortis Group. Here he gained experience of dealing with a range of European and international clients and in addition to managing high value trust assets, also managed offshore companies dealing with operating businesses and intellectual property. Paul progressed his career by moving to the Guernsey based trust company of the HSBC Group taking charge of a team dedicated to managing trusts containing family assets primarily of very high net worth Latin American clients. He also liaised with relationship management teams in the United States as well some HSBC clients and offices in Geneva, Monaco, Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2003 an opportunity arose to join Richmond at which time Paul was appointed to the Board and acquired equity in the business. Paul is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds a Diploma in International Trust Management. Paul is married with two children and enjoys spending any spare time with his family as well as skiing, music, gardening and following current affairs.
